This year, RMS will again be participating in a fundraiser to benefit the
 Leukemia / Lymphoma Society from October 16 - October 31.
A representative will travel from Richmond to present a
Kickoff program on October 11, 2017.
We have a special page where donations can be made online.
             Fundraising activities are coming!

* HAT DAY FOR STUDENTS – Nov. 3 - $1.00
OCTOBER 30 – November 3 – CASUAL DRESS WEEK FOR FACULTY AND STAFF - $10.00 for the week!
*There will be a traveling trophy for the pod that raises the most money each week.  Good luck!
* WIPE OUT LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA – In the main lobby we have a wall with LEUKEMIA LYMPHOMA in huge letters.  For each $100.00 we raise we will bring down a letter and hopefully, it will be wiped out!
*Each floor has a piece of white paper taped to the window with “Supporting Our Heroes” written on it.    This is our WALL OF HOPE.  Each class will receive a sheet of hero stickers.  For donations of at least $1.00 each student can get a sticker, write their name on it, and place it on the paper.
*On an unannounced date, faculty and staff can CHUCK YOUR CHANGE.  You can empty your pockets and change purses for the cause.  The faculty member contributing the most will be
*TEACHER DARE!  Set your classroom goal and accept a dare from your homeroom if that goal is met.
*DUCT TAPE A TEACHER!  Each classroom will need to make 10 copies of your homeroom list.  Please place the following names of the participants on the sheets (one name per sheet): SAMANTHA MULLINS, KAYLA ROBINSON, APRIL HAY, CHAD COMPTON, SHARON HALL, DWIGHT DAVIS, AMBER OWENS, TRACI RAMEY, PHYLLIS MULLINS AND BROOKE HEARL.  When students bring in donations for this activity, please record the amount beside their name on the appropriate teacher sheet. For each dollar they contribute, they will receive one piece of tape.  The two teachers who bring in the most money will be the lucky ones to be duct taped to a wall --- rolling chair if it is determined that the tape won’t stick to brick.  Mr. Whitner will decide the place and date of the taping. Students who contribute to the winning teachers will be the only ones to get to do the taping.  For instance, if students contribute money in my name and I don’t win, those students will not get to participate.

Ridgeview Middle School will not be allowing costumes at the school on Tuesday, October 31st. However, it has been decided to have a Halloween Hat day, where middle school students can wear decorative hats, bandanas or head bands to school. Plans are to have contests between the different rooms, quads and grades to see who has the best head gear. Even though wearing hats will be allowed that day, all head apparel needs to stay within school board policy and guidelines. No masks or extra make-up will be allowed.
