Dear students, parents and guardians:

I am very pleased to announce that the Virginia Department of Education has finally released the official state accreditation reports last Tuesday, December 9th , for the 2024—2025 school year. Ridgeview Middle School is officially “On Track” with a score of 81.1, which means we are fully accredited. That information is available on the VDOE website. Our faculty, staff and students have been working hard this semester to continue to improve on those results.

Below are a few of the upcoming events:

After school tutoring will begin again in January on Tuesdays and Thursdays for students needing help with math and reading. Anyone interested in receiving extra help should let their student’s teacher or Mr. Whitner know.

The RMS PTO meeting is scheduled for this Thursday, December 18 th , at 4:00. They plan on providing “Cookies for Christmas” to all of the RMS students this week.

The Wolfpack Community in Schools will have a family engagement night at 5:45 on Thursday, December 18th . Everyone is invited to attend. The RHS Choir and Theatre also have a Christmas Variety Show that night in the auditorium.

The RHS/RMS Band Christmas concert originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 16th , has been rescheduled to next Tuesday, December 23rd . Their performance begins at 7:00 that night in the auditorium.

School will dismiss at 12:00 on Friday, December 19th . Schools are closed from Saturday, December 20th through Monday, January 5th . for the Christmas Holiday. Schools will resume on Tuesday, January 6th .

Report cards for the second nine weeks are scheduled to go home Monday, January 12th .

Reminder: all students coming to watch home middle school, JV or varsity ballgames have to either ride the bus home or be picked up by the parent. Supervision is not provided for students after school, so students are not allowed to stay after school.
