 Dear students, parents and guardians:

 The week of March 3rd—7th, is Read Across America week. Ridgeview Middle School has the following plans for dress up theme for each of the days. Monday, March 3rd, will be “Fox in Socks” day, and students can wear their craziest, mismatched, or colorful socks. Tuesday, March 4th, will be “The Cat in the Hat” day, so students can wear a fun hat or rock red, white, and black like the Cat! Wednesday March 5th, is “Wacky Wednesday”, so students can go all out with wacky outfits—backward shirts, inside-out clothes, or mismatched patterns. Thursday, March 6th, is “Dr. Seuss’s Sleep Book” day, and students get to wear pajamas or comfy clothes to celebrate the Sleep Book. Friday, March 7th, is “Thing 1 & Thing 2” day, so students can twin with a friend or wear red and blue to match the mischievous duo. Everyone is encouraged to join in the fun during this first week of March.

 Below are a few of the upcoming events in March. All scheduled events are subject to the weather.

 Mid-term reports have been rescheduled to go home by Monday, March 3rd. Mid-term reports will go home to those students who are making D’s and F’s or for those parents who have requested them.

 The Barter players will be performing “Ugly Duckling” for the 5th grade students on Thursday, March 6th.

 Daylight Saving Time is Sunday, March 9th.

 A RMS PTO Spring Fling Dance is scheduled on Friday, March 14th, from 3:00—5:00 in the cafeteria after school. Permission forms need to be signed. The cost is $2.00 per student. Students can bring extra money if they want to purchase concessions.

 A PTO meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 20th at 4:30 in room 119 at RMS.

 The 5th grade and 8th grade SOL writing test is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25th.

 The end of the 3rd nine weeks is scheduled on Wednesday, March 26th. An Open House will be scheduled during the first week in April.

 Bristol Ballet has scheduled an “Alice in Wonderful” performance for the 5th, 6th and 7th grade students on Friday, March 28th.

 RMS yearbooks are on sale. The price is $40. The Yearbook Purchasing link is on the Ridgeview Middle School website under the “Quick Links” tab.
